Many people prefer living in an apartment instead of a house. Obviously, the reasons for doing so in a big city are pretty obvious. However, in general, living in apartments has some serious advantages over owning a house. It is not surprising then that many fictional TV characters have their own apartments to call home. Here are 4 of the most fabulous apartments featured in TV shows.

Rick’s apartment, Castle
Richard Castle is a best-selling author who has raked in millions thanks to his mystery novels. Of course, his apartment is going to reflect the success of the man. Often voted by interior designers as one of the best apartments on TV, Rick Castle’s apartment has it all. From gorgeous hardwood flooring to gleaming kitchen appliances, the fiction author seems to be living in what many would describe to be their ‘dream apartment’. As expected, Rick also has a massive office/library where he can get down to work, in peace.

Monica’s apartment, Friends
On the sitcom Friends, Monica’s apartment is testament to the wonder that is ‘rent control’. Although many people lambast the setting as unrealistic, thanks to the massive size of the apartment in downtown New York, one cannot deny that it is a fantastic place to live in. Whether she was sharing it with Phoebe in the old days or sheltering Rachael the runaway bride, Monica loved the apartment and saw it as an important part of her life. It is not surprising then that the last shot of the epic TV show was this very apartment.

The Drummond apartment, Different Strokes
When you are rich, there are a number of things you can do, irrespective of the cost. One of those things is owning a duplex penthouse apartment in New York city. As far as living large goes, it can’t get any larger than the Drummond family apartment. Living with his daughter and two adopted sons, Mr Drummond certainly understands the importance of space for every family member. In this massive duplex apartment, space is exactly what they will get. The décor may be outdated by today’s standards, but when Different Strokes was being aired, it was pretty much at the cutting edge of interior design.

Frasier’s apartment, Frasier
One of the best things about being a bachelor is the ability to build your own bachelor pad.  Doctor Frasier Crane is a man of taste who likes the finer things in life; his apartment reflects the owner’s taste. With a cracking view of the Space Needle, Frasier Crane’s apartment is in one of Seattle’s most prestigious residences and boasts of a terrific floor plan. Featuring a replica of Coco Chanel’s own couch, the living room is vast and makes it the perfect place to entertain some high society friends. An eclectic sense of style completes the look, while adding a great sense of sophistication.

Each one of these 4 apartments is distinct and has its own charm. No matter what your taste, you will definitely find these apartments to be so good that you wish you would be living in them.
