Factors That Contribute To The Popularity Of The Netflix Series 'House Of Cards'

The series draws from several things ongoing in society at the moment like the constant battle between the US and Russia, privacy protection, spy relations, nuclear weapons, international relations and the like. Being able to draw inspiration from stories that happen in everyday life and to present it in an engaging format for the viewers is not an easy task but the script writers do it well. The modern world itself is filled with backstabbing, dirty politics, under the table deals, behind closed door agreements which the normal citizen is not aware of. The series creates an engaging line of thought in the mind of viewers of what could possibly be going on with the power they elected to represent them.

The Stellar Cast
The casting for this show was done brilliantly or how else do you want to explain the ability of the actors to draw emotions from the viewers? From Kevin Spacey’s chilling personality as the scorned ambitious congress man seeking vengeance as he plans and connives his way into being the cunny President of a country such as the United States. His wife played by Robin Wright who is an ambitious individual willing to stop at nothing to get what she wants. These two actors almost make it seem like this is how politics in being run in the current world by emphasizing the point of being a predator and if you are not a predator, you might end up as prey.

Other than the two actors, the other co-stars of the series perform their roles so well that it brings up the knowledge that everything is connected. If you turn away from the video for a moment you might end up missing a vital part.
