When Will The Apocalypse Happen?

Ok, so the Mayans may have been wrong, the world didn’t end in 2012! But, it could still happen.  Where will you be when the apocalypse comes?  Holed up safely in your underground zombie and nuclear proof shelter, with enough supplies to last you for a year or running screaming along the High Street with a bag filled with tins of food, trying to find the nearest place to hide out?  For most of us, it’s probably the latter, although we don’t want to admit to being so unprepared!  We don’t know if or when the apocalypse will happen, or even how, but there are ways that you can ensure you’re prepared for any disaster like applying for cash loans and getting shopping for supplies today!

An Apocalypse: is it really likely?

When you read the myriad of frightening news stories on the subject then yes, it could happen!  Here are just a few examples of things that could go wrong in our world today, ultimately leading to an apocalypse:
  • Nuclear attack: Whilst the odds of a nuclear war are relatively low, countries such as China and Russia possess enough nuclear weapons to end the world, should they so choose.  It probably won’t happen in your lifetime, but it helps to be aware that it’s a real possibility in the future
  • Zombies:  This one makes most people laugh, but actually, there’s a brain parasite known as Toxoplasma Gondii which turns its victims into zombie-like creatures.  It’s currently only found in rats, but it takes over the animal’s brain, turning it insane.  Now imagine if this parasite could affect humans and got into the hands of biological weapons experts and you have yourself a zombie apocalypse (of sorts); technically they’re not the un-dead, but they might as well be!
  • Asteroids/Comets:  65 million years ago an asteroid hit our planet, wiping out the dinosaurs and 70 percent of life on earth.  So it’s not unreasonable to think that this could happen again! In Siberia in 1908, an asteroid flattened more than 800 miles of forestation.  At least if this happens again, the chances of survival are minimal!
  • Machine Revolution:  I know what you’re thinking and yes, I mean exactly like in Terminator or IRobot.  As we turn more and more everyday tasks over to robots and our technology becomes increasingly advanced, are we heading for a robot takeover? All it takes is for someone to create a computer that’s smarter than a human and let’s be honest; there are some humans that already struggle to keep up with computers!

You’re not John Connor

Now, remembering for a second that you’re not John Connor and you won’t be fighting back against any kind of apocalypse, it makes sense that you’re prepared for what might be coming.  Why not take out a cash loan to invest in supplies and a hideout for you and your loved ones if the worst should happen!  Head to Sainsbury’s and stock up on as much tinned and dried food as you can, but don’t forget to include six months to a year’s supply of water. Using a cash loan to invest in these things means that you don’t have to waste time saving up, because who knows, zombies could arrive at any moment (just watch Shaun of the Dead if you don’t believe me!)

Build a Hideout

I say build, but you may already have somewhere in mind to hide out.  Of course, the best place to hide from nuclear attack is underground, but investing in a custom made bunker might be a step too far for most people.  Find a cave, a basement or cellar and start preparing it in case of attack! Buy blankets, lamps, gas stoves and fuel so that you can heat water and food; use your cash loans wisely and research online for the things you might need.  Create your own apocalypse shopping list! Don’t forget medical supplies like bandages and plasters, although these won’t be much good for zombie bites, they’re still an essential purchase!

The best motto: be prepared! You could wake up tomorrow to find zombies in your front garden, so always make sure that you have a plan in case the apocalypse strikes.  Spend your money wisely and protect yourself and your family from nuclear war, hungry zombies or over-zealous robots. Don’t be a hero, just survive!
