Hollywood celebrities are increasingly becoming involved in the debate over the issue of hydrofracking. The process, otherwise known as fracking, is a method of gas extraction that injects high-pressure water, mixed with chemicals, into drilled wells. California and New York are being targeted for drilling.
Many celebrities work and live in affected areas, which means the fracking debate is reaching their backyard. As fracking spreads, cities, towns and states are wrestling with how to preserve precious natural resources in the face of big-money gas energy interests. Celebrities, too, are learning more about the practice and taking a stand, mostly against it. Here’s how they’re making waves against fracking.

By practice: you have to start somewhere. The ease with which we have access to cameras on phones and audiences via the internet means it is easier to be “found” by Hollywood. Pick up a camera and start shooting. Don't wait for money or to be hired by a production company, just get out there and make a movie.

If you're on this side of the Pond (and a Twitter user, obviously) , you might have noticed that the #AskTommyRobinson tag has been trending since last night, That tag was apparently started because the so called leader of the, also so called, English Defence League, Tommy Robinson wanted to hold a Q&A session on Twitter. Considering that Tommy is well known for blocking a lot of the people who ask him questions he can't/won't answer, the point of having a Q&A sessions seemed a bit... well... yep... pointless.
That was until the Twitter community saw that tag as a great opportunity to tell him what they actually really think of him and his street movement, of course.
It's bound to be quite a few #AskTommyRobinson related lists being posted. Here are some that have already come to our attention:
- The 11 best questions by Twitter for EDL’s #askTommyRobinson
- Ask Tommy Robinson-More Fun and Japes From The EDL
- Some of my favourite tweets from #asktommyrobinson
- #WHATAREDOINGTOMMYROBINSON?
(We will try to update this compilation as often as possible)
Anyway, here is our own list (made from randomly chosen tweets of people we follow and/or have previously posted in the #OccupyEDL tag) top list... Enjoy!

Soviet Union was the official enemy of the United States for ages. Many people who spent their lives suffering under the paranoia of a looming nuclear war with a mysterious, highly secret collection of countries are still nervous today.
As a consequence, a lot of misinformation clouds the judgment and perception of people when looking at post-Soviet countries. Some myths are so well-known that they are taken as a fact, and that is a real shame.
Here are five common myths about post-Soviet Union countries that just aren't true.

The TV Series Doctor Who was first broadcast in 1963 which was the year of my birth and so I literally grew up with the programme. As a child I was fascinated by the concepts of time travel and aliens and so Doctor Who was a must-watch every weekend. I enjoyed the plots and the characters and was largely untroubled by any of the protagonists with one notable exception – The Daleks. Like millions of other people across the globe these extraterrestrial beings were, for me, the scariest things on the small screen and fifty years on I still find them incredibly sinister!
