Book Tour: 'The Star' by Clemy Warner Thompson

by

Ah yes, we didn't host any Book Tour stops for a little while and today we're hosting two of them...

But, I'm sure you'll like this one too. It's for 'The Star', a Urban Fantasy novel written by Clemy Warner Thompson (and it's also not technically a Book Tour stop but more a Release Day Blitz really as the novel has just been published.)

Enjoy!

Book Tour: 'Tunuftol’s Fortress of Light' by Ann Snizek

by
The Book Tour stop we're hosting today is for 'Tunuftol’s Fortress of Light', a Fantasy/Sci-Fi novel written by Ann Snizek...

Ann is no stranger to us as, not only we've hosted a Book Tour for one of her books before, but she has also on many occasions directed us towards other novels' Book Tours she knew we would love to host. So, we're very happy to welcome Ann back in our little corner of the net and wish her all the best with this novel.

Enjoy!

Cats are equal opportunity affection givers. Cats love their humans regardless of whether those humans are rich or poor, young or old, or any color of the rainbow. Cats give affection on their own terms, however.

What are some of the primary manifestations of kitty affection?

Why Can Bruce Wayne Never Seem To Manage To Throw A Decent Party Without It Getting Gatecrashed By A Supervillain?

by
Gotham City
Gotham City (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
He is Gotham City's most eligible bachelor and one the richest men in the DC Universe (even Superman only lives in a little apartment and he's the most powerful being on the planet). The world is Bruce Wayne's oyster; he can go anywhere, buy anything and date anyone he wants. So when he throws a party at his mansion, you would naturally assume that it would be the greatest show on Earth. Sadly for Bruce and his guest list, this is invariably not the case. Money certainly isn't the issue, so where does he go wrong?

Famous Bodyguards Everyone Should Know Of

by

If you’ve hung out around those bars in Aspen with the lights and music, you know the ones I’m talking about, you’ve probably seen a few celebrities. Which means you’ve probably seen a few bodyguards even if you didn’t realize it. They were the ones wearing nothing but black, lurking in the background, pretty easy to miss, if they weren’t all literally seven feet tall. For one reason or another, some celebrities, billionaires, and artists (or any combination of the above) like a little extra muscle when they go out in public. Let’s take a look at some of the not-so-gentle giants of the personal security industry.

The Most High Tech Heroes On Our Screens

by

In recent times, geek chic has taken the world somewhat by storm. It's no longer something to be ashamed of if you're handy with a computer and wear specs, it's something to be proud of and to show off. Nowhere is this more apparent than on the silver screen, or on the smaller screen in our living rooms, where geeks are regularly saving the day using their brains and technology rather than pure brawn.

Recently a number of high profile high tech heroes have risen to the forefront of pop culture. Here we will look at a few of the best, and what they say about the modern nerd...

One Tycoon, a Whale Massacre and Dog Food

by
One Icelandic man is about to start a hunt to harpoon fin whales, then chop them into pieces and ship their meat to Japan for dog food! The best way to stop this massacre is to shame the Dutch Prime Minister, who allows the traffic of whale meat through Rotterdam, to refuse this bloody cargo -- if the whalers can’t sell the meat, we can stop the hunt before it starts.

A man cave is a sanctuary that a man sets up so that he can do whatever his manly desires lead him to do, without offending or bothering the women in his life. Traditionally, man caves have been set up in basements, garages, and offices.

These are indoor places, but the man cave can also be set up outside. For the man who loves the great outdoors, or just being outside instead of a stuffy confined space, he should set up an outdoor man cave. With enough time and effort, the outdoor man cave can become the DIY’s man dream location.

Most Memorable Glastonbury Performances

by
Glastonbury kicks off next month, with an amazing, eclectic line-up of bands as always. This year’s event will see The Rolling Stones performing at Worthy Farm for the first time ever, alongside other British acts including Arctic Monkeys, Mumford and Sons and Primal Scream.

We have waited years to see Mick Jagger strut his stuff on the pyramid stage, hopefully it will be one of those Glasto performances to remember; with so many highlights from years gone by, we highlight some of the most memorable performances of all time:
