An Indiana man convicted of setting fire to a mosque in Ohio told a judge on Wednesday that he committed the crimes because Fox News and conservative talk radio had convinced him that “most Muslims are terrorists.” Randolph Linn, 52, accepted a plea deal in which he pled guilty to all charges in…

Did Howard Hughes ever get a chance to view a captured or crashed UFO and its occupants? I have long pondered this question and there may now be an answer to it. According to a former employee of Hughes Aircraft, he did. The visit allegedly occurred not long after the crash of an alien spacecraft near Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. You may think this story belongs in the BELIEVE OR NOT file and you may be right, but I feel compelled to pass it on to you anyway.

"King Kong" is the next big musical out of Australia, and it looks like it may be extremely popular. If the June premiere in Melbourne is a success, the next obvious step is to bring the biggest ape on Earth home to the city that made him famous; New York City. But Spider-Man stands in the way.

The movie Alex Cross is now out in theaters, as those who have an interest in James Patterson novels and adaptations are probably well aware. The film stars Tyler Perry as the titular character, along with Matthew Fox from Lost in the role of the villain. While many fans were quite excited about the movie when they heard about it, some did have some reservations about Perry in the lead role. Two other films, Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider, featured the character of Alex Cross. In those films, Morgan Freeman portrayed the character of Cross. There was a fear that Perry would not be able to bring that same gravitas to the character.

Saints are not just for the Bible anymore. Sure, we've all heard of some saints such as Benedict, Patrick, and Joan of Arc. Those saints, and others, are immortalized through legend and lore. There are, however, other saints that watch over many of us without the same recognition.
Take St. Roch, for example. St. Roch was an orphan who traveled to Rome during the Bubonic Plague. While caring for plague victims, he became ill with the plague. He fled the town to die alone where he was cared for by a stray dog. St. Roch survived with the help of the dog. Now, St. Roch is immortalized as the patron saint of dogs and knee problems.
Juvenile delinquents have St. Dominic Savio, a sickly young priest, who died as a teenager, watching over them.
Even the Internet has a patron saint. St. Isidore of Seville, an encyclopedia writer from a family of saints, focused on sharing information with the world.

Many people know that the U.S. prison population is massive compared to that of other countries. In fact, the U.S. has the highest rate of incarceration in the world with more than 20 times as many prisoners per capita as the countries with the lowest prison populations. The lowest prison populations are usually found in developing countries, although there are some in small, wealthier countries.

It can be challenging to maintain good health into old age. While there are lots of proprietary diets and workout programs available, it can be challenging to know what works. The following guide provides simple but effective body hacks for a longer life.
It's important to understand the negative impact that overeating can have on one's health. While it may be fun to eat lots of food, it can put lots of stress on the body's metabolic system. In some cases, overeating can result in high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and stroke.
In addition, it's essential to make sure one is receiving adequate exercise every day. While many people associate exercise with a gym, there are a number of simple changes one can make in life to improve his or her health. For example, instead of riding a car to work, try taking a bicycle. This can be an excellent way to burn additional calories, save money and promote a green environment.

Are you a web designer? Do you have a troublesome client with lots of ideas and not a lot of patience? Do you constantly feel like you are trying to please a client who cannot be pleased?
It is a fact that web designers have to deal with difficult clients at times. About 20 percent of those clients are going to offer suggestion after suggestion and constantly change the design of the website you are working on for them. About 50 percent of clients just don't know what they want in a web design. It is your job to sell them on an idea and to listen to their needs so that you know the best possible design to fit their vision. But the reality is that 100 percent of web design clients want something unique for their website. Use your creativity and ingenuity to make it happen.

As airstrikes pound and rockets are launched, amazingly a Palestinian bid to the UN could pave the way to lasting peace. The US and Israel are furiously lobbying to crush the bid for a state. But the UK is still on the fence, and EU Foreign Ministers meet in four days. Our voices, and a massive flag in the heart of Brussels, can persuade our government to vote 'yes'. Join the urgent call for peace and freedom!

If you want to live to see the age of 100, you need to learn a few tips from those who have reached that impressive milestone. On the island of Okinawa in Japan, some members of the population live for longer than 100 years. Many of these citizens have a strong immune system that helps protect them from diseases, including colon and breast cancer. For some of these individuals, their excellent health can be attributed to a low-calorie diet and a healthy consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Although genes may play a large role in the lifespan of an individual, there are a few things you can add to your daily life that may help increase your own lifespan. First, start exercising daily and embrace a healthy diet. You should also try to keep your weight in a healthy range. If you smoke, make an effort to quit as soon as possible. Finally, treat your brain well by constantly learning new concepts.

Looking around an urban landscape, you can see that recycling at home is just the start of making our cities sustainable. From the cars and public transit filling the streets to the usable spaces atop the buildings, the concrete jungle of a city offers a wealth of opportunities for eco-friendly efforts.
City residents can start by reducing their consumption, recycling, and using environmentally-friendly transportation like electric cars and mass transit systems on alternative fuels. Other practices involve more of the community, like using building tops for urban farming or greening.
The architecture of a city itself can be designed around green living. Good practices start with the sustainability of the construction materials themselves. Urban buildings made with biomaterials and incorporating green spaces can help the population feel more interactively involved with the environment around them. More advanced eco-technology like "Smart Cities" can further help us plan green cities. In short, we have many wonderful green ways to improve our cities.
